This course will allow you to obtain and then demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to work effectively and flexibly within the Adult Care sector at level 3 in Northern Ireland. The primary purpose of the qualification is to confirm occupational competence, and as such, the content of the qualification is applicable to a variety of roles in the care sector.

If you are aged 16 to 25 (and over 25 for some qualifications)* and working a minimum of 21 hours per week, you could access this course for free through the ApprenticeshipsNI programme.
If you wish to self-fund, the cost is £925 + VAT.
A good standard of written English is required.

You can complete further study such as the Level 5 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Management Pathway or Residential Pathway). You could also progress in work in roles such as senior care worker, community care support officer, healthcare assistant, clinical support worker, therapy assistant.
