Over the last number of years, People 1st have been working closely with local Councils and employers across Northern Ireland to deliver a range of bespoke training solutions called ‘Academies. The latest People 1st Academy has just been announced for residents of the Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council area, who would like to start a new career as a Classroom Assistant.

This exciting 5 day online course, that will help improve employability along with interview, communication and teamwork skills, leading to a guaranteed job interview with a local employer.

Open to ALL ages and FREE to attend, it’s an ideal place to start!
Over the 5 day course, we will take you from complete beginner to feeling prepared to apply for jobs in this sector. We will give you a great introduction into the the role of a classroom assistant and our friendly team will help put you at ease, fast-track your knowledge of what the job entails, and give you lots of helpful hints and tips to prepare you for interviews!
Then at the end of the week…fresh with your new knowledge and skills, we will introduce you to employers with vacancies ready to fill, and give you the best chance of getting that job and further training that you really want!!
