People 1st Covid-19 Update

People 1st have been advised by the Department for Economy and Department for Communities to cease the delivery of face to face training for Training for Success Apprenticeships, Steps to Success, LEMIS Plus and Community Family Support Programme from close of business on 20/03/2020
 

As a result of this directive our centres will be closed and staff will move to remote working for the foreseeable future.  The decision, which has been taken in light of the latest UK Government advice, is driven by the overriding need to help protect the safety and wellbeing of our students and our staff.  All our staff are fully contactable via their emails and mobile phones plus have the facility to dial into conference calls or video conferencing, our usual land line numbers remain operational and have been diverted to mobiles.

This announcement means that, as of Monday, 23 March 2020 at 1pm:

Training for Success

  • Trainees should not attend the centres for classes
  • Your mentor or assessor will be in touch in due course to discuss remote options for you to continue your training
  • Support for clients will continue via email, telephone or preferred communication
  • Absence will be recorded as authorised and training allowances will continue to be paid at this time

ApprenticeshipsNI

  • Face to face classes are suspended for the foreseeable future
  • Your mentor or assessor will be in touch in due course to discuss remote options for you to continue your training
  • Support for clients will continue via email, telephone or preferred communication

LEMIS + and Community Family Support

  • Support for clients will continue via email, telephone or preferred communication

Steps to Work

  • Clients should not attend the centres
  • Support and appointments for clients will continue via email, telephone or preferred communication
  • Job Mentors will contact clients directly with advice

Staff will be available on their usual emails and telephone numbers, or alternatively please contact us via Facebook or people@people-1st.co.uk and we will refer your message to the most appropriate person.
