First Aid at Work (Accredited) – 3 Day Course
Course Description
It is a legal requirement under the Health & Safety at Work (Northern Ireland) order 1978 to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health, safety and welfare at work for all employees.
Under the Health & Safety First Aid regulations, employers shall provide persons, training, facilities and equipment to render first aid to their employees should they become injured or ill at work. This is also applicable to non-employees and service users/general members of the public.
It is important to remember that accidents and illness can happen at any time. First-aid provision needs to be available at all times people are at work.

Duration
The First Aid at Work course is a 3 day programme.
Once successfully completed, each candidate will be awarded with a First Aid at Work certificate which has to be renewed WITHIN 3 years of issue date.
Assessment
The course will be assessed through a mix of both theory and practical methods throughout the 3 days by both the trainer and external assessors.
