This qualification is aimed at Managers, Deputy Managers and qualified Room Leaders, who are leading and managing a team within the early years' sector. This qualification will be facilitated via monthly master classes which will focus on best practice, equipping students with the skills to lead innovatively and adapt to an evolving environment. Participants will be allocated an assessor who will support them on a one to one basis, to focus on areas of development and to achieve the qualification.
This course will last 18 months - 2 years, depending on the experience of the individual.
Assessment will be done through written assignments plus workplace assessments including observation, professional discussions, witness statement and examination of product.
A candidate must be a Manager or Deputy Manager in a Childcare setting. Room Supervisors, who have been given authority by their manager to ‘act up’ for a period of time may also be able to take part.
