This qualification is for people who would like to start or develop their careers in hospitality. It will give you both transferable and job role specific skills, set out by employers, ensuring that you are ready for both a specific role and a career in the hospitality industry.

If you are a school-leaver* and not working full time, you could access this course for free through the Skills for Life and Work programme.
If you are aged 16 to 25 (and over 25 for some qualifications)* and working a minimum of 21 hours per week, you could access this course for free through the ApprenticeshipsNI programme.

You could progress to a level 3 qualification, or you could specialise in a particular area of hospitality including food and beverage service, front office, house-keeping and professional cookery where roles include, catering/restaurant manager, commis chef, pastry chef, fast food service assistant, food processing operative, bar person/manager, team leader, hotel manager.
