The Level 2 Certificate in Safe and Effective Practice will provide workers with foundational knowledge and skills to enable them to work as an adult or children’s services social care practitioner within health and social care services.
This qualification consists of 7 units that will enable social care practitioners to gain the knowledge and skills necessary to become confident in their practice and to work safely and effectively.

- Emergency First Aid in Social Care Services

After achieving the Level 2 Certificate in Safe and Effective Practice and their induction, social care practitioners may then be supported by their employer to work towards the achievement of a higher level, work-based social care qualification aligned with their job role and career progression. For example, Level 2 BIIAB Diploma in Health & Social Care Northern Ireland or Level 3 BIIAB Diploma in Health & Social Care Northern Ireland
