Hospitality Tutor



Centre Manager/s

Fulltime - Mon-Thurs 9am-5pm

Friday 9am–1:30pm

Part-time - hours to suit





Fulltime £25,000 - £27,500 dependent on experience

Part-time - £22 per hour



To deliver and assess the curriculum provision of hospitality across provision within People 1st to a high standard, meeting/exceeding the demands of both government training and corporate contracts. 



  • Deliver and assess relevant hospitality qualifications up to Level 3 meeting awarding body criteria. 
  • Assist in the formulation and achievement of the business objectives and targets as outlined in the Company's business plan, enhancing and promoting employer engagement.
  • Assist with the marketing and promotion of our range of provision to stakeholders, carrying out “training needs analysis” for interested parties.
  • Engage with the company’s quality improvement planning processes and work to effectively use data to maintain and enhance quality, identify and plan actions to address areas for improvement.
  • Manage own professional development and undertake necessary training and development activity as identified in the development review.
  • Promote Equal Opportunities, Quality, Health and Safety and Information Security.
  • Such other duties and responsibilities as may be determined from time to time.
  • To be aware of and responsive to changes and developments in the sector.

  • A relevant professional qualification at level 3 or prepared to work towards.
  • Certificate in Teaching or prepared to work towards.
  • Experience of tutoring and assessing vocational qualifications.
  • Relevant and demonstrable management / supervisory experience.
  • A proven track record of success in a customer facing, fast paced, target orientated environment.
  • A high degree of organisational and planning skills, able to work under pressure and act on own initiative.
  • Good working knowledge of local labour market
  • Ability to use IT software to competent level.
  • Current full driver’s licence


  • Existing, established contacts in the hospitality industry.
  • Experience of having worked in training, recruitment, sales or employability sectors
  • Previous marketing experience
  • Experience in delivery of Food Safety qualification



  • familiar with working hours of the industry and able to adapt own schedule accordingly to facilitate observations etc.
