START DATE TUESDAY 22ND SEPTEMBER 2020 – AVAILABLE N. IRELAND WIDE

Course overview

This qualification has been developed specifically for candidates who, as experienced playworkers, are developing, leading and reviewing permanent or temporary play provision, for example leaders of afterschool clubs including managers and deputy managers.

The qualification has been designed to assess the knowledge and skills necessary to develop, lead and review play provision.  Set with an analytical and reflective construct, the learner must understand and apply the Playwork Principles in order to develop and implement an organisational framework for children and young people.

The Minimum Standards identifies Playwork as the most appropriate qualification for out of school club staff.

  •          Assessors use digital assessment methods which reduce the volume of written work for the candidate and ensure confidentiality within the workplace, as no paperwork is required to leave the setting
