This course is aimed at staff working directly with children and young people in a setting that provides opportunities for freely chosen, self-directed play. You don’t have full responsibility for the play environment, but you make a significant contribution to supporting play.

If you are aged 16 to 25 (and over 25 for some qualifications)* and working a minimum of 21 hours per week, you could access this course for free through the ApprenticeshipsNI programme.

You could complete the Level 3 Diploma in Playwork, or work in roles such as playworker; childminder; holiday centre worker or manager; holiday representative; leisure centre assistant or manager; play therapist; school lunchtime supervisor; youth and community worker.
