This newly updated qualification has been designed to help learners develop the essential knowledge and skills to work safely, effectively and flexibly within the Adult Care sector in Northern Ireland.
The updated version now includes the NISCC-recommended Level 2 “Safe and Effective Practice” qualification as a mandatory unit, ensuring learners meet the latest professional standards for care in Northern Ireland.
The primary purpose of the qualification is to confirm occupational competence and provide learners with the confidence and capability to deliver high-quality, person-centred care.

If you are working a minimum of 21 hours per week in the Health & Social Care sector, you may be eligible to access this course for free at any age through the All-Age Apprenticeships programme. Conditions apply.
This qualification is delivered online via Zoom on a fortnightly basis (evening sessions: 6.30pm–9.30pm) – designed to fit around busy work schedules.
If you wish to self-fund, the cost is £850 + VAT.
A good standard of written English and ICT is required.
