This Level 3 BIIAB Diploma in Health & Social Care Northern Ireland course will allow you to obtain and then demonstrate the knowledge and skills required to work effectively and flexibly within the Adult Care sector at level 3 in Northern Ireland. The primary purpose of the qualification is to confirm occupational competence, and as such, the content of the qualification is applicable to a variety of roles in the care sector.
To give you an understanding of this course, topics include:
- Understand mental health problems, mental well-being and mental health promotion
- Understand the process and experience of dementia
- Understand personalisation and person-centred care in health and social care settings
- Understand the context of supporting individuals with learning disabilities
- Principles of supporting individuals with a learning disability regarding sexuality and sexual health
- Understand how to support individuals with autistic spectrum conditions
If you are working a minimum of 21 hours per week in the Health & Social Care sector, you may be eligible to access the Level 3 BIIAB Diploma in Health & Social Care Northern Ireland course for free at any age through the All-Age Apprenticeships programme. Conditions apply.
