This is a nationally recognised qualification gained in the workplace. It is based on standards written by employers and experts in the industry and successful completion will show you are competent to do a job and have the skills, knowledge and understanding needed to do it well.
To give you an understanding of this course, topics include:
- Set objectives and provide support for team members
- Develop working relationships with colleagues
- Contribute to the control of resources
- Maintain the health, hygiene, safety and security of the working environment
- Lead a team to improve customer service (ICS 42)
- Supervise food services
- Supervise drink services
- Employment rights and responsibilities in the hospitality, leisure, travel and tourism sector
If you are working a minimum of 21 hours per week in the Hospitality sector, you may be eligible to access this course for free at any age through the All-Age Apprenticeships programme. Conditions apply.
