This course is designed for anyone who wants to become a plumber or domestic heating engineer. It provides all the basic domestic heating and plumbing training you need to start work in the industry.
To give you an understanding of this course, topics include:
- Understand and carry out safe working practices in building services engineering
- Understand how to communicate with others within building services engineering
- Understand how to apply scientific principles within mechanical engineering services
- Apply safe working practices in building services engineering working environment
- Install and maintain domestic heating systems
- Understand and apply domestic central heating system installation and maintenance techniques
If you are working a minimum of 21 hours per week in the construction sector, you may be eligible to access this course for free at any age through the All-Age Apprenticeships programme. Conditions apply.
