Super Supervisor

During the Super Supervisor course, which will be delivered online over 2 x 3 hour sessions, you will discuss a range of areas relevant to the role of the Team leader. The purpose of this course is to help you work smarter rather than harder to get the desired results from the team.

The role of the team leader:

  • Understand how the role fits into the organisation
  • List the skills and attitudes of an effective team leader
  • Investigate the issues and challenges of the role
  • Understand how to transition from team member to team leader
  • How to identify and deliver key results

Getting the best from people:

  • Discuss the importance and need for positive motivation
  • Examine the importance on instilling team spirit
  • Examine the stages of team development

Communicating for impact

  • Discuss the importance of influencing others
  • Explain the process of receiving, providing and responding to effective feedback
  • Employ techniques to inform and consult with others to make decisions to deliver results
  • Demonstrate the process for carrying out team briefing – formal and informal
